What is a hero? A person noted for deeds of courage or graciousness of purpose, especially one who has sacrificed his or her life is called a hero. For me, a hero is someone who guides and protects you no matter what. They are willing to risk their lives just to save someone from harm. It can be superman, batman, wonder woman or the incredible.
But for me, my heroes are my parents. I know they don’t have any super powers like superman or batman but they have the ability to guide and defend me from bad people. They sacrificed a lot to make me and my brothers a better person. They bought us things that were not important just to make us happy. They share their experiences to us because they want what’s the best for us. They always give me the guts when I’m almost down. My father is an OFW. He’s currently working in Qatar. He needs to work abroad in order for us to have a comfortable life. Even if he misses us, he has to endure it to earn money. We only have 1 month a year to be with him. I sometimes disobey and disappoint him. Being the only daughter in the family, I was strictly prohibited from going outside without any companion. I go against the rule and lied to him. Despite of my misbehavior, he never hit or says bad things to me. My mother is an entrepreneur. Sometimes she goes home late. She sacrifices her time to work so that she can buy what we need and we want. My mom is a like a super hero. When we go to school every day, she does all the house chores. When we’re at home, she cooks for us and help us in doing our assignments. I remember when I was in grade 1. My mom used to teach me the night before my exams. She sometimes hit me when I can’t understand what she’s saying even we studied it over and over again. I was crying the whole time as she teaches me. In the end, I got a perfect score and she was very happy.
My parents sacrificed a lot of time in order for us to have a comfortable and healthy life. Even though we’re always fighting, they never fail to guide us, give the proper love and care that we need. I know I’m not a perfect daughter for my loving parents but I’ll always give back the love and care they gave to me and become a better person someday.
